Rat bagel, anyone?

This morning as I was walking into work and waiting for the elevator, I thought about gum in the work place... At least my work place. Yes, I did say GUM....

In high school, I used to think of gum as cigarettes in jail. In a new school setting, it got you new friends; it also moved you up in social circles. Apparently, at work, gum gets you noticed as well. Everyday at work I have a pack of orange orbit gum, and everyday, I offer the ladies (my bosses) at my desk a piece. Today, I walked in and at my desk was a HUGE box of orange orbit gum! How nice... Stacy bought it for me and made sure she got the kind I chewed.

I just thought that was nice.

The gum came in handy after lunch... I had a bagel from the deli close to work on Spring street close to the entrance of the 6 uptown train. The entire time I was eating the bagel all I could think about is how rats in New York eat better than this and then I started thinking... hmm, maybe this is how a rat tastes. (Crazy I know.) For some reason I ate the entire bagel and then felt sick for the rest of the day.

Lucky for me, the deli close to the loft sells coconut popsicles... So I rewarded myself after my walk home from work!
