So today I had an interview at Zac Posen. I don't know what I was expecting... but I really was thrown off my chair! In the first few minutes that I was there, I saw Zac. I nearly fainted, but I kept my cool. He said hello. I smiled and said hello. Everyone that works there is pretty young. It seems like a fun, hectic environment. I soon found out that the position that the PR woman wanted to meet me about was an unpaid internship. I have the position if I want it, which is amazing... but unpaid. Other girls that have taken on this internship: Ashley Olsen and Lauren Bush. Just something to think about...
This afternoon, I went to look at an apartment, but the people that were showing were a no show. I walked back to Park somewhat depressed. Where will I be in a month. On my way back, I stopped at the infamous Chelsea Hotel (in case you are not familiar, everyone has stayed/lived there... J. Joplin, Andy Warhol, Leonard Cohen, William S. Burroughs... the list goes on and on.) Anyway, I was standing outside, reading one of the plaques and before I knew it, a man that worked there had struck up a conversation with me. He told me that he really thought I was going to make it where I wanted to be and to stay focused. As if that wasn't good enough, he gave me a personal tour of the Chelsea.... from the top floor to the bottom. I even got to stand on one of the balconies.
Needless to say, I walked on air the entire way back to the loft....
Tomorrow night, I begin house-sitting for a woman who works at Teen Vogue. After that week, however, I am kind of (ok, reaaalllllly) worried about where I will be living.
My past internship offered me a paid-temporary position... but VERY low pay.
Where will I be in a week?
to be continued....
