So the weather is finally warming up in Manhattan, and now that I have the chance to pull out my Marc Jacobs espadrilles that I got on sale at the end of summer last year, the last thing that I want to think about is snow! However, when I heard about the annual Burton winter gear showroom party, I put my spring jitters aside and got ready to think about cold weather once again.
The atmosphere of the party was simply amazing! Although snowboards, snow suits, and huge winter coats were all around, there was definitely a sense of spring time in the room with the cook out theme, ice cream sundaes, and mojitos. My favorite aspect of the party was the photo booth. I must say, I was very surprised at how many people we managed to stuff in the tiny booth and not even spill our drinks! DJ Steve Aoki blew my mind on the turn table! I never imagined in my wildest dreams hearing Jay-Z mixed with Neutral Milk Hotel, but somehow it worked!
Before the party, I couldn’t wait to run around the city in my signature summer shorts, but now after seeing the amazing Burton gear for winter, I’m almost looking forward to the snow again! I’m especially digging the Andy Warhol theme for winter!
